Art in the Park 2025: The Artists Are Selected and We're BUZZING!
OH. MY. GOODNESS. IT'S HAPPENING!
Friends, art lovers, Oakvillians, lend me your eyes – because I have the MOST exciting news to share! The selection process for our 58th Annual Art in the Park is complete, and I'm practically bouncing off the walls with excitement! 🎉
Our dedicated jury (fueled by approximately 47 cups of coffee and countless pastries) has spent weeks reviewing hundreds of applications, and let me tell you – deciding was TOUGH! The talent this year is off the charts, and narrowing it down to our final 200 artists was like trying to pick a favorite star in the sky. Impossible, but we managed!
The Lineup? chef's kiss PERFECTION.
The artist roster for Art in the Park 2025 reads like a "Who's Who" of incredible creative talent. We've got painters who can make a canvas sing, photographers who capture moments you didn't even know existed, jewelers crafting pieces that would make royalty jealous, and sculptors who turn ordinary materials into extraordinary masterpieces.
From emerging talents showing for the first time to beloved artists who've been with us for decades, this year's show promises to be an absolute visual feast! (Speaking of feasts, have I mentioned the food trucks yet? Because YUM.)
What To Expect This Year
Waterfront Heritage Park, Bronte – Monday, August 4th, 2025
Picture this: You're strolling through a lakeside park on a gorgeous summer day. The breeze carries the scent of fresh food and maybe a hint of oil paint. Around every corner is another booth showcasing jaw-dropping artwork. Artists are chatting with visitors, demonstrating techniques, and sharing the stories behind their creations. In the background? The beautiful backdrop of Bronte Harbour.
That's not fantasy, folks – that's just a typical day at Art in the Park Oakville!
This year we've got:
- 200 Artists from across Ontario and beyond
- Live demonstrations throughout the day
- Food trucks serving up deliciousness
- A laid-back, fun atmosphere that makes art accessible to everyone
The Secret Sauce: Our Amazing Artists
I wish I could highlight every single artist who'll be joining us (and believe me, they ALL deserve it), but our website will be updated soon with the complete list. What I can tell you is that the diversity of talent is INCREDIBLE.
From traditional oil paintings that make you feel like you're stepping into another world, to cutting-edge digital art that pushes boundaries, to handcrafted jewelry you'll want to wear forever – there truly is something for everyone.
And the best part? You get to meet the creators in person! Ask questions, learn about their process, maybe even commission something special. It's like getting a backstage pass to the creative process.
